The Green River runs through Green County, Kentucky where I was born and raised. The title of this work reflects my fondness and memories of that region. However, having mentioned this, I should say that the actual image comes from a scene from Babcock State Park in West Virginia where during the summer of 2003, I did a one-week tutoring session with artist David Weaver. David's realistic painting technique has been a primary influence in my art.
