Charcoal Portraits

Procedures in Planning Your Portrait:
The portrait will be based on a reference photo made with professional equipment at the artist’s studio in Ypsilanti, Michigan or for an added fee at another location if travel to the studio proves difficult. The work will begin upon approval of the reference photograph and a 25% deposit. The balance may be paid in installments or at the delivery time of the portrait. Fee Schedule For Oil Portraits: Nelson Amos offers a variety of sizes. In most portraits, figures are painted in life size. In choosing the appropriate dimensions, consideration should be given to where the portrait will hang. The general prices for single portraits are as follows: Pricing: Head & Shoulders: $400 A second person may be included in the portrait for an added 60%. Extra charges will be asked for complicated backgrounds or elaborately patterned clothing. As required by Michigan law, 6% sales tax will be added to the above prices. |
